Hi Veterans For Peace and Supporters,

 

In September 2025, Veterans For Peace united in support for a powerful week of action at military bases. Here in our community, our chapter took a stand at the gates of the Naval Postgraduate School, early mornings and late afternoons, for four consecutive days to encourage officers to follow their conscience. Our presence was felt: every individual entering or leaving NPS saw us, and our message reached even further when the base’s chief of staff emailed all members and students about our peaceful protest, reaffirming our right to free speech and encouraging base members to remain neutrality. Yet, what resonated most were the many gestures of support we received in person from those who were anything but neutral, they stood with us.

 

Now, we’re gearing up to return for “Operation Northstar.” Each month one Thursday, Veterans For Peace will gather at the NPS gate, continuing our mission to guide officer students to follow their conscience, reject unlawful orders, extrajudicial killings, and Venezuela blood for oil. Several local organizations are on board, eager for updates and ready to join us. The next action date and time is listed above. We hope to see you there, standing together for change.
